A few helpful details.
From choosing your color service to caring for extensions, here’s a little guidance before your visit. Have another question? Send me a text.
Color & Blonding
What’s the difference between a full foil, partial foil, and lived-in color?
A full foil adds brightness throughout the hair, while a partial foil focuses on selected areas, including around the face and crown. Lived-in color is about creating a softer blend at the roots for a natural grow-out. These options can overlap, so we’ll choose the approach that best fits your goals.
Can I get my desired blonde in one appointment?
It depends on your starting color, previous color history, and the condition of your hair. Some goals can be reached in one visit, while others need a more gradual approach. We’ll talk through what’s realistic and prioritize keeping your hair healthy along the way.
How often will I need to come back to maintain my color?
Your maintenance schedule depends on your color, how much contrast you like at the roots, and your hair goals. Lived-in color is designed for a softer grow-out, while brighter blondes and grey coverage may need more frequent visits. We can plan a schedule that works for you and discuss care between appointments.
Is a haircut included with color?
Minor dead-end dustings are included in color services. For a more complete haircut or a change in shape, please book a women’s haircut in addition to your color service.
Extensions
What type of extensions do you offer?
My extension services are customized to your natural hair and the look you want to achieve. Before an installation, we’ll discuss the method, amount of hair, and maintenance involved so you know what to expect. Reach out to talk through the current options.
Can extensions add fullness without adding length?
Yes! Extensions can be used to add fullness while keeping a length you already love. The amount and placement of hair can be tailored to your goals and what works well with your natural hair.
How often do extensions need maintenance?
Extensions need regular maintenance as your natural hair grows. The timing depends on the method, your hair growth, and how you care for them. We’ll discuss a maintenance plan before installation, including when to book a move-up.
How do I care for my extensions at home?
Gentle brushing, careful detangling, and products suited to your extension method are key. Avoid pulling on attachment points and follow the washing, drying, heat styling, and sleeping instructions provided for your installation. Ask before trying a new product if you’re unsure whether it’s suitable.
Is extension hair included in installation?
Extension hair is sold separately from installation. We can discuss the hair needed for your desired length and fullness, along with installation and maintenance costs, before you book.
Your Appointment
What if I’m unsure what to book?
You don’t need to have all the salon terminology figured out! Send me a message with your hair goals and, if possible, photos of your current hair. I can help you choose the service that makes the most sense. Text Hannah →
Should I bring inspiration photos?
Absolutely! Inspiration photos are a great starting point. Bring a few examples and let me know what you love about each one, whether it’s the tone, brightness, dimension, or overall feel. We’ll use them to talk through a look that suits your hair and lifestyle.
How should I prepare my hair before my appointment?
Come with your hair dry, detangled, and free of heavy product buildup unless we’ve discussed different instructions. You don’t need to arrive with freshly styled hair. Let me know about previous color, at-home treatments, or anything else that could affect the service.
How long should I plan to be at the salon?
Appointment length varies with the service, your hair’s length and thickness, and the amount of work involved. Bigger blonding changes and extension installations can take longer. If you have a time constraint, please reach out before booking so we can discuss what to expect.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before the start of your appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours may result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the price of your scheduled appointment.
Where is the salon?
You’ll find me at Be Loved Salon & Style Lounge, 1885 West 120th Avenue in Westminster, Colorado.
